Join us for this two-year A-Level, where you will discover more about the all-encompassing world of business.
You'll learn more about business theory, learn more about entrepreneurialism, and develop key managerial skills. You will also gain a good overview to the internal workings of an organisation, as well as the external factors that affect a company’s ability to meet objectives and strategies.
A GCSE grade 4 in English Language and grade 5 in Maths.,Our general entry requirements to study 3 A-Levels or any mixed level 3 programme are: 5 GCSEs grade 4-9 including English Language and/or Maths at grade 5. Subject specific entry criteria may also apply. Our general entry requirements to study 4 A-Levels are: 6 GCSEs grade 4-9 including English Language and Maths at grade 6. Subject specific entry criteria may also apply.
This qualification covers ten topics assessed through three exams, each worth 33.3% of the A-Level and all of which are examined in June.
Throughout the course you will be expected to complete written homework tasks, which will help your teachers to provide you with individual feedback designed to help you improve your performance ready for these external assessments.
Once you have completed this course, you will achieve an A-Level in Business graded A*-E.
Once you have successfully completed this course, you can progress to business studies degree courses, or you will have gained a very good introduction to a career in business.
You will need to purchase a course text book (for each separate year of study), currently £20.
Each year, we organise a one-day revision course run by examiners (either in Portsmouth or London), which are great for you to attend. As a Business student, you'll take part in Enterprise Week in November, where you will put your business skills to the test, working on real business problems, supported by local business people.
