If you are interested in working in Front of House, in a restaurant then this course is for you. You will gain the skills you need to deliver a great dining experience. You'll learn essential skills in areas like food service, food safety, handling payments, bookings, serving hot and cold beverages, bar service and menu design.

You will cover a wide range of skills and knowledge that relate to working in a restaurant for example, you will start with an introduction to the catering and hospitality industry including food health and safety. You will also learn how to meet and greet customers, take orders and payments for beverages and food orders. You will work part of a team, working closely with the restaurant managers and trainee kitchen chefs.
Minimum two grade 2 at GCSE including English and/or maths.
You will be assessed in a variety of methods, including practical observations and assignment based theory tasks
Level 1 Certificate in Professional Food and Beverage Service
You can progress onto the Level 2 Food and Beverage Service qualification or gain employment as:
Bar staff Table or counter service Kitchen assistant Housekeeping
You will be expected to purchase a Front of House uniform- details are provided at interview
