What will I study?

If you are thinking about a career in Health and Social care or Childcare this foundation course will give you the ability to identify which sector of the care industry you'd like to explore further, whether that be Health care or Child care.

You will study topics such as ; Being organised, Finding Out About Health and Social Care Services, Communication Skills for Health and Social Care, Making Healthy Snacks When Caring for People, Supporting Others to Use Adapted Equipment Safely and Being Organised

What previous qualifications or experience do I need?

Minimum two grade 2 at GCSE including English and/or maths.

What can I do after completing this course?

After completing the course you will have a much better idea about which sector of the care industry you would like to study and work in. You will have the opportunity to progress onto other Health and Social Care courses or Childcare courses .

With additional training you may work towards starting a career as a care support worker or individual needs worker.

Are there any extra costs?

During this course there will be an additional cost for educational visits .
