What will I study?

During this exciting course, you will study three mandatory units.

You will learn more about safeguarding and protection in health and social care, gathering insight from real-life examples. You will learn more about equality, diversity and rights in health. You will also study human growth and development, and get to see how these theories play out during a 30-hour work placement during the year.

What previous qualifications or experience do I need?

Minimum four grade 3-9 at GCSE or successful completion of the Level 1 course, and English and maths at grade 3. A clear DBS check will also be required.

How will I be assessed?

During the year, you will put together a portfolio of evidence, which will form part of your assessment. You will also take part in group work, presentations, and written assignments to form your overall grade.

What qualification will I achieve?

Once you have completed this course, you will achieve a Level 2 Certificate in Health and Social Care, awarded by NCFE.

What can I do after completing this course?

Once you have completed this course, you could progress onto our Level 3 Health & Social Care course or join our Level 3 T-Level in Health.
