What will I study?

During this full-time course, you will learn a high degree of skill in the fields of animation and illustration.

The focus of the course will be narrative, the development of characters, and stories that can be told through traditional 2D animation and printed genres, such as Graphic Novels and Manga.

You will understand different types of illustration and professional illustration practice and be able to plan how to satisfy and respond to professional illustration briefs. You will be able to develop a range of ideas in response to those briefs, present them for client feedback, and then be able to produce a final illustrated outcome.

You will study how to create characters for use in animation, graphic novels and comics. You will then create a new character and develop it through drawings into a final professional outcome. You will study how different types of animation are produced before generating a story, placing your character in an environment to produce a short animated film.

You'll then channel your skills and creativity to develop an advertising campaign and create company branding materials.
