This one-year Level 3 City and Guilds Diploma in vehicle maintenance is an industry recognised qualification.
It is designed for people who have a Level 2 diploma in vehicle maintenance or experience as a mechanic, that want the knowledge and skills to diagnose and fault find modern cars.

During this advance course you will be able to extend your knowledge and improve your skills in fault rectification and diagnosis. Including electric and hybrid vehicles.
Successful completion of the Level 2 course, and English and maths GCSE at grade 4.
Your assessments will be made up of 40% practical, 30% coursework and 30% exams.
On completion of the course you will have gained a range of skills that will allow you to progress into employment or onto further study at University.
You may have opportunities to start your career in the industry working as a skilled mechanic, an MOT tester or in a customer facing role.
There will be a small additional cost for the course as you will be required to wear safety boots and overalls during the course.
