This one year course is designed to provide you with the foundation skills required to progress onto a level 2 course while working towards your English and Maths qualifications.
During this course you will study fundamental units in health and safety, professional image, basic hair styling, shampooing and hair styling
Minimum two grade 2 at GCSE including English and/or maths.
Your assessments will focus around practical tasks and treatments carried out in the salon, as well as coursework assignments and exams.
By the end of the course you will have been working towards gaining your English and Maths qualifications and college certificate in Hair and Beauty skills.
After completing the course you will have experience in hair and beauty and will be able to choose a path in either Hairdressing, make-up or Beauty Therapy.
You will be required to wear a uniform and have a kit to work with while studying this course. The kit costs around £100 and the uniform around £50.
