This Level 2 Diploma in Hair and Media Make-Up aims to provide you with a full range of skills and knowledge, which will equip you to seek employment or further training within the make-up Industry. These skills include carrying out services such as applying make-up including photographic, tanning, shaping eyebrows, eyelash perming and nail artistry. The final unit of work 'Create an Image Based on a Theme' will give you 'artistic license' to create a look including hairdressing skills.
Minimum four grade 3-9 at GCSE or successful completion of the Level 1 course, and English and/or maths at grade 3.
You will build up a portfolio of work to showcase your skills which are assessed against awarding body standards.
You will also complete a selection of unit papers to assess your knowledge.
VTCT Level 2 Diploma in Hair and Media Make-up Studies
Following successful completion of this qualification you will have the skills and knowledge to progress onto make-up qualifications at Level 3. Alternatively you will be prepared to work in a number of employment destinations such as; photographic studios, department stores, make-up stores or salons and mobile / home-based salons.
You will be required to purchase a professional kit and uniform (estimated £250)- details on how to purchase will be communicated at interviews
An additional cost of £25 is payable on enrolment for compulsory educational trips and visits.
