You will need to be prepared to work in and out of class to build a portfolio of your work. You will develop your own portfolio and creative ideas supported by guest speakers, industry experts and a visit to a professional show in London. You will have the opportunity to take part in competitions and showcase your skills at the college Hair and Beauty Show.
Minimum five grade 4-9 at GCSE or successful completion of the Level 2 course, and English and maths at grade 4.
You will be assessed during written, practical, and observed practical work. You will be required to produce a portfolio of practical examples and reference material, and there will be two exams during the course.
