During this two-year course, you will study a range of intriguing modules that will help you assess the political landscape.
In year one, you will study Participation in UK Politics and look at the opportunities that people have to participate in UK Politics at the national and local levels, in things such as Elections, Pressure Groups and Parties.
You will also study the key institutions such as the Government, Prime Minister, Cabinet, Parliament, and the Courts.
In the second year, you will study Politics in the USA and The Comparison Between Politics in the USA and UK.
The course will provide a broad-based background in political theories and practices, which will allow you to develop skills in analysing and evaluating the current political scene.
A GCSE grade 5 in English Language.,Our general entry requirements to study 3 A-Levels or any mixed level 3 programme are: 5 GCSEs grade 4-9 including English Language and/or Maths at grade 5. Subject specific entry criteria may also apply. Our general entry requirements to study 4 A-Levels are: 6 GCSEs grade 4-9 including English Language and Maths at grade 6. You will be assessed through 2 written examinations.
Once you have completed this course, you will achieve an A-Level in Politics graded A* - E.
This course provides a number of qualifications providing the pathway to university or employment. Employment opportunities with a politics background include Journalism, Civil Service or working with pressure groups.
