The Creative Music Academy Hastings Ore Valley delivers music/production courses to introduce and then develop a range of activities and skills towards both performance and production in the music/creative industries.

We use Steinberg Cubase 10.5 as our DAW of choice with Steinberg Nuendo to be used at Level 5 for Music, Post Production and Sound Design. This DAW has Komplete 10 Ultimate suite to assist with VST instruments.

These are project-based courses where you create and develop your own portfolio via your personal website. The focus of the course is to facilitate learning to compose, arrange and mix both collaboratively and independently using music production techniques with an entrepreneurial ethos to guide towards future employment within the music/creative industry.

The courses encourage you to explore all genres of music, moving you outside of your comfort zone as you become involved in the local Hastings live and studio music scene. Those who prefer can focus more on developing the production side while working alongside our creative media/VFX students creating audio for computer games, animation, film and TV.

Collaboration across the levels 2, 3, 4 and 5 are encouraged based on your skills and mindset. Out lecturers are professionals and education eras in their areas and have worldly experience to keep you on track.

To allow flexibility, all students can use their own music software on their laptops if desired (Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic etc). We have a recording studio equipped with all you need to create music with basic CD DJ turntables for both live and studio work.
