Former Catering students who studied at the College back in the 2015/16 academic year, returned to ESC to collaborate with current students in hosting a full dinner service. Alumni in attendance included Charlie Simmons, Jake Cranch and Lewis Wren, who have all gone on to establish great roles with Rathfinny Wine Estate.
These students prepared the menu, ordered the food ingredients and executed a successful dinner service with the support of current students at the back and front of house.
Oliver Zecchin, co-manager of ESC’s Kings Restaurant, said, “This event was an excellent opportunity to showcase what the department is doing, and the top tier food and service we have to offer - and of course the importance of maintaining links with Alumni!
“The wider benefit to current students was that they could observe and understand the path available to them once they have gained their qualifications with us - so long as they continue to put in the hard work!”
