Marcus has had a distinguished career since graduating from East Sussex College in 2015. He has worked his way up through some of the best kitchens in the South East, from Thackerays to the Small Holding and Hide & Fox restaurants.
One of Marcus’ most impressive accolades is winning the San Pellegrino Young Chef of the Year UK 2022 and competing in the world final in 2023. The talented alumnus is now making a name for himself with ‘Spoons by Clayton’, a pop up and private dining project, championing unique vegetable focused cookery.
Following the success of last year’s pop-up, the College is proud to host his second dining event at Coast Restaurant. Marcus will deliver a five-course vegetarian tasting menu based on locally sourced produce presented in fascinating new ways.
