National Colleges Week and the Love Our Colleges campaign aims to recognise the brilliant things that colleges do, day in, day out, to build communities, boost businesses, and support individuals. This year’s theme is based around staff, students and skills, as this is what makes a college!
Throughout Love Our Colleges Week this year, ESC’s social platforms will be sharing messages from students, and positive success stories from alumni, current students and more!
ESC Lewes Performing Arts alumnus, Harry Goodson-Bevan, has excelled in the theatre/acting industry since leaving the College, and is now touring the country starring in the Saturday Night Fever Musical playing the role of Bobby C!
Jack Bates studied Sport at ESC Hastings and has now officially signed a deal to join EFL League One side Derby County Football Club.
For the TENTH successive year, East Sussex College Lewes students celebrate success in the prestigious Royal Opera House Design Challenge. ESC student William Chan, aged 19 from Eastbourne, won the Set Design Award and was also chosen for the Director’s Choice Award. Itamar Burstein Lachman, aged 17 from Lewes, and George Bayly, aged 18 from Hassocks, were recognised as Highly Commended for poster and set design respectively.
These inspiring students are just a few of the positive examples that the College will be sharing on social platforms throughout the week. Keep an eye out!
Rebecca Conroy, CEO and Principal at East Sussex College, said, “East Sussex College is proud to be part of the ‘Love Our Colleges’ campaign. It is fantastic to recognise the hard work of students and staff across the College and to celebrate the positive impact that the FE sector has in our local communities.”
Love Our Colleges Week 2022 takes place from Monday 17th - Friday 21st October and you can get involved by following the College’s social media accounts @WeAreESCG on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok.
