ESC students studying Level 1 Hospitality and Catering in Hastings have embarked on a heartwarming initiative to support the local charity 'Warming Up The Homeless' (WUTH).
In a bid to extend a helping hand to those in need, these budding chefs have rolled up their sleeves and put on their aprons to cook meals for the less fortunate.
Under the guidance of Jacqueline Pranski, the esteemed Restaurant Manager at Coast Restaurant, the students have transformed their Monday afternoon cooking lessons into a beacon of hope for the homeless. “Our Level 1 students have practical cooking lessons on Monday afternoons. The cost of the food produced is part of the budget allocated to each student for the course. So, I thought it would work out perfectly for us to freeze the food they make and donate it to WUTH to collect as and when they need it.
“They are such a wonderful charity and support the community so well, that we wanted to help support them.”
