Making an Impact in the Local Community

Hospitality and Catering students studying at East Sussex College’s Eastbourne campus, recently supported a large fundraising event for St Wilfrid’s Hospice, in collaboration with Sussex events caterer, Food Glorious Food.

In June, students studying Hospitality and Catering within the College’s Kings Restaurant helped raise over £100,000 for St Wilfrid’s Hospice at a charity fundraising event hosted by Food Glorious Food. Students catered to hundreds of guests, providing a tasty three course meal!

The Hospitality and Catering department at East Sussex College Eastbourne, said, “Our Hospitality and Catering students worked to serve over 300 guests, providing a three course meal, and worked incredibly well as a team to deliver an excellent service.

“This event wasn’t just an opportunity for them to support a local charity, but also an opportunity to experience a large and alternative service style. Over £100,000 was raised and we are so pleased to have been invited to support this event.”
