Seven students from the Level 3 course were set a virtual work experience brief by Eastbourne BID (Business Improvement District) to produce and record 80 radio advertisements for the town's local businesses.
The jingles have been broadcast over the Elf Radio airwaves and played through speakers in the town centre. The ads have been running throughout December and will play during the annual Christmas Market this weekend.
Luke Johnson, Town Centre Manager, Your Eastbourne BID said, "The students have provided invaluable support to us in producing this year's Town Centre ‘Elf Radio’. We tasked the students with creating short radio-style adverts for our Town Centre businesses, which in turn would then be played out through the Town Centre elf radio speaker system in December.
I’ve been incredibly impressed with how the students took to this task and am happy to say that they have produced a fantastic set of very professional sounding adverts for our businesses – the majority of which sound better than adverts you would usually hear on the radio! A big well done to all involved."
Here is a short ad that the students recorded for us! Listen out for the other ads if you're out and about this weekend.
