Former East Sussex College student signs first professional contract with Crawley Town Football Club

I had really good teachers. They were all really supportive of me and knew I had ambitions to play professional football. I’ve always been interested in sport, fitness, and nutrition - that sort of thing, so I knew that if football didn’t work out for me, I would still be able to use my college qualifications to earn a living while playing semi-professional football.

From College to Elite Coaching: Progressing Through UEFA Levels

After completing the Level 3 National Diploma in Sport and Fitness at East Sussex College between 2009 and 2011, Arron began building a career in coaching and football analysis. He has previously worked as a Set Piece Analyst for Bristol City Women’s First Team and as a Director of Coaching in the US - experiences that helped shape his coaching philosophy.

Sport is a vital part of college enrichment and life and Skiltek Sport, being the main enrichment and academy coaching providers, know how important physical activity and team dynamics are for mental health, fitness, peer to peer bonding and development of social engagement.

PhD scholarship success is a ‘Pretty huge Deal’ for former East Sussex College student

After completing Level 3 UPS, I decided to carry on studying at the college and boosted my skills and qualifications with a Level 3 in Preventing Injuries in Sport and Active Leisure, and a Level 2 in Gym Based Exercise. I ended up working at the college gym, Plaza Fitness, and before I left college, gained a Level 4 in Sports Massage Therapy.

“I forgot about the banana walking incident until several years later, I saw a documentary about social anxiety. I was surprised to discover the “Banana walk” was an actual treatment, I may have witnessed a person “walking a banana” because they were being treated for Social Anxiety
